This privacy notice applies to the website operated by Kestrel Roofing & Renovations Pty Ltd (“Kestrel”, “we”, “us”). It describes the information the website is designed to collect when you send an enquiry, and how we intend to use that information to respond to you.
It is a website notice based on how this site currently works. It is not a statement of compliance with any particular privacy statute or set of principles.
Information we collect
If you use the quote or enquiry form, the website is designed to collect the details you choose to provide. Those fields currently include:
- the roofing service you select, or “Not sure”
- the property postcode
- your first name, and last name if you add it
- a phone number
- an email address, if you add one
- optional notes about the roof or the work you need
The form also records which page you sent the enquiry from, the time it was submitted, and a simple coverage indication based on the postcode you enter.
Separately, Google Analytics 4 records browsing information as described under “How information is collected” and “Cookies and analytics”.
We do not ask for payment details, account passwords, or government identifiers through this website.
How information is collected
Information may reach us through:
- the multi-step quote form on the homepage and the contact page
- direct contact, if you call +61 414 954 004 or email info@kestrelroofingrenovations.com.au
- WhatsApp, if you use the message button on the site. The website opens WhatsApp with a draft. You press send in WhatsApp. Nothing is sent from this page.
The quote form collects those details in the browser and sends them to HighLevel, the system Kestrel uses to receive and follow up on enquiries. This notice will be updated if that destination changes.
The WhatsApp button keeps a draft of what you typed in your browser (for up to 24 hours, or until you choose All done) so it is still there if you reload the page. It also remembers whether you dismissed the first-visit prompt. Those details stay on your device. They are not sent to Kestrel until you press send in WhatsApp.
The site also uses Google Analytics 4. Google records which pages are viewed, the kind of device and browser used, and a small number of events we send: when a quote form is submitted successfully (the service selected and the page it was sent from), when someone taps a telephone link, and when someone continues from the WhatsApp button into WhatsApp. We do not send your name, phone number, email address, postcode, or the text of a WhatsApp draft to Google Analytics.
This website does not run advertising tags or a cookie-consent tool.
How information may be used
When an enquiry reaches us - by phone, email, WhatsApp, or through the form - we use that information to:
- respond to your enquiry
- discuss the roofing work you have described
- prepare or arrange a quotation where that is appropriate
- provide the services you have asked about
- keep business records of enquiries we have received
We do not use the form to subscribe you to unrelated marketing. If that ever changes, this notice will be updated first.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to look after information submitted through the website. No website or transmission is completely secure, and we do not claim that your information is encrypted everywhere or stored only in Australia.
Enquiry details are held so Kestrel can follow up about your roof. The tools used to receive and store those enquiries may change. This notice will be updated if that happens.
Retention
We keep enquiry information for as long as it is needed to respond to you and to maintain ordinary business records. We have not set a fixed public retention period on this page. If a specific period is adopted, this notice will be updated.
Access, corrections and questions
If you want to know what information we hold about an enquiry you have sent, or you need a detail corrected, contact Kestrel using the details below. We will need enough information to identify the enquiry.
Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. The current version is the one published on this page.
